Thank you for considering Columbia County Tourist Development as a potential sponsor of your event.

Sponsorship funding is available for major events staged in the County or surrounding areas that attract large numbers of visitors from outside the County. An example would be state, national, or international amateur sports events, and multiple day festivals.

The event must incorporate an advertising and promotional component outside of the Columbia County media footprint. Media may include broadcast, web, social media, and print.

Columbia County Tourist Development is funded through the Tourist Development Tax, commonly referred to as TDT. This is a local option tax authorized by the Florida legislature and imposed by local governments. The tax is collected by hotels, vacation rentals, and campsites in the county.

Columbia County TDC encourages all requests for sponsorship to be completed by June 1 for the upcoming year which runs October 1 to September 30 each year. All requests received after June 1 are presented to the TDC at the discretion of the Columbia County Tourist Development Office.

Tips for completing application:

2) Answer all questions. If a question is not applicable, then type "n/a" for "not applicable" or "none".
3) Prepare your documents ahead of time. Create one zip file of all relevant documents to upload.
